Sheldrake Farmhouse

Step into Luxury. that’s our motto and that’s what is waiting for you at this completely remodeled 1865-era farmhouse located in the heart of Cayuga Lake’s Wine Trail. The Farmhouse, as we lovingly refer to it, is fully restored outside and freshly renovated and remodeled on the inside with the most discriminating taste in mind.

 

The Farmhouse is the perfect vacation location to take advantage of both the Cayuga and Seneca Lake Wine Trails, Watkins Glen International Speed Way, and the many beautiful state parks and hikes in the Finger Lakes Region.

The chef’s kitchen features Viking appliances, Calphalon cookware and plenty of room for multiple cooks and guests to gather and enjoy a meal or casual glass of wine and local cheese.

Kitchen island comes with stools for casual entertaining or a quiet breakfast. Dining table and dining bench are made from black walnut lumber taken from the property and crafted by a local artisan.

Living Room, Downstairs Master Bedroom & Bath

The living room is connected to the kitchen and dining allowing for an expansive, open-concept downstairs areas with a comfortable seat for everyone.  The living room features a custom-made rope pulley chandelier by Owner, Chris Stamberger, couch, chairs and a state-of-the-art entertainment center with a 75-inch smart TV.  The room contains much of the original, reclaimed wood from the antique farmhouse to showcase the history of the home.

The entry hall leads to the upstairs bedrooms, deck and the downstairs master bedroom with king-size bed, soaking tub, double vanity and custom, walk-in double shower stall.

Upstairs Master Bedroom, Queen Bedroom & Bath

The upstairs houses a second master bedroom with king-size bed, third bedroom with queen-size and a shared master bathroom.  The bathroom is appointed with an elegant double vanity sink and custom, walk-in single shower.

 

All bedrooms are appointed with wall-mounted heat and a/c units, luxury linens and extra pillows designed to enhance your sleeping comfort.

Mudroom Entrance, Bunk Room & Bath

The main entry for the Farmhouse is the mudroom, which is equipped with a keypad entry lock.  The mudroom has a welcome table which is well-stocked with local tourist brochures and a binder of property information.  There is also a brand new, large capacity washer and dryer, clothes iron and ironing board.  There is a full bathroom with shower located off the mudroom.

 

The fourth bedroom is a bunk room located beyond the mudroom which is custom made from antique barn beams with a full size bed on bottom and twin on top.

Garage, Deck & the Outdoors

The Farmhouse comes with a large two-car garage that allows for a great weather-proof outdoor space for your time here. It connects to the mud room directly for access to the indoor amenities. A deck located off the kitchen and dining room includes patio furniture and an outdoor grill.

Sheldrake Farmhouse property rental includes access to an eight-acre parcel of land directly across the street about 50 yards from the Farmhouse. The property offers the unique opportunity for guests to explore a stream, natural gorge and hiking trails within walking distance.

 

There is also a bonfire pit stocked with wood for campfires.
